Reintegration & Mentoring Tutor

  • Liaise with school and Education Welfare
  • Visit parents and pupil in their home
  • Refer on to Young Families
  • Liaise with other agencies as necessary
  • Organise and administer a planning meeting at around 20th week where possible to enable continued access to education
  • Setup Tuition
  • Maintain contact with the pupil before and after the birth
  • Set up a reintegration meeting with school around 6 weeks after the birth, where return is appropriate
  • Liaise with the Connexions Personal Advisors
  • Support access to alternative provision where appropriate

Additional Role

  • Liaise with other agencies to arrange childcare where appropriate
  • Administer a welfare fund to support continued access to school
  • Negotiate alternative provision when return to school is not appropriate. e.g. Early College Transfer
  • Develop alternative provision
